Erin Lee Carman

JUNIOR DESIGNER

Erin Lee Carman is a graphic designer, illustrator, and creative strategist, who works at the intersections between art, science, and relationship management. Whether she is designing graphics for brand identity or managing creative teams, her passion for collaboration and mind for systems-thinking allows her to identify and leverage individual elements of a system to most effectively achieve a desired outcome. With professional experience in science communication, graphic design, and conflict mediation, her work as both a visual designer and a manager aims to bridge the communication gap between expert and non-expert audiences, and between individuals with varying communication styles. She believes diverse perspectives create more thoughtful conversations, and information should be accessible and inclusive to all communities.

Her recent speculative design project that explored and curated a conversation about the socio-economic impacts and moral implications of human genome-editing was recently exhibited or presented for the World Economic Forum, UNESCO’s Future’s Literacy Summit, MIT Media Lab, and the BioDesign Challenge with the Museum of Modern Art in New York City. She is currently working as the Junior Designer for WE-DESIGNS creative agency, and she will graduate with her MS in Strategic Design & Management from Parsons School of Design in May 2021.
