Commissioned by the NYSCI Hall of Science our team at WE-DESIGNS provides project management, renovation, design and build of the Theatre and Café.
The Theatre and Café is expected to generate additional revenues through rentals and will serve schools, visitors, educational organizations, local artists and entertainers as well as local businesses by providing event and meeting space, educational events, film screenings, and new capabilities such as livestreaming events.
The expansion project will enable The New York Hall of Science to increase the number and type of events it offers. The project includes general upgrades that will benefit the Queens community, offer extended opportunities for STEM education, and establish increased and sustainable revenue sources for the Museum.
This project is generously funded by the NYS Empire State Development Corporation (ESD). Consistent with projects utilizing public funds, the expansion project will be required to meet certain terms and conditions set out by the funding agencies. This includes and is not limited to, M/WBE participation requirements.
